Hi, I’m Rebecca.
My passion for animals started as soon as I could walk. I picked up frogs, saved snakes and turtles from the road, made castles for insects, and begged my parents to let me take home every stray kitten I found.
My dog training journey began in 2022, when I moved across the state of Missouri to begin working at Wayside Waifs Animal Shelter. Working in animal welfare, I have seen the need for compassionate, accessible support for pet parents in the Kansas City area, and I am proud to be able to provide services to help meet that need.
I obtained my CPDT-KA dog training certification in 2023, and have been working with dogs and the people who love them ever since. I am continuing my education journey, learning both from like-minded professionals and each dog I meet.
Though I can assist with a wide array of needs, some of my passions including puppies and adolescent dogs, reactivity, and high arousal behaviors. Having dealt with some of these behaviors with my own rescue pups, I understand what it’s like to live with these behaviors, and find it extra rewarding to work with them.
At home, I am the proud parent to 3 cats, a few fish and reptiles, a horse, and 2 dogs. I participate in some sports with my personal dogs, though our favorite way to spend time is a long hike through the woods.
I look forward to meeting you and the animals you love.
